We are seeking an experienced PA-C or CRNP to join our growing Orthopedic Trauma team at UPMC in Williamsport, PA. As an Orthopedic Trauma Specialist, you will work alongside two dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons and six PAs/CRNPs at this busy Level II Trauma Center.
Job OverviewThis is a 15-12 hour shift position with opportunities for variety in inpatient, outpatient, and surgical first assist settings. You will perform procedures such as fracture reduction, splinting, skeletal traction pinning, and serve as first assist in OR. In addition, you will be responsible for inpatient rounding, preoperative assessment and planning, post-operative discharge planning, evaluation of ED trauma patients, and development of treatment plans for outpatient orthopedic trauma patients.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Podiatry and Plastic Surgery teams for management of ankle, foot, wrist, and hand injuries
- Perform procedures including fracture reduction, splinting, skeletal traction pinning, and serve as first assist in OR
- Inpatient rounding, preoperative assessment and planning, post-operative discharge planning, evaluation of ED trauma patients
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans for outpatient orthopedic trauma patients
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Orthopedics, Acute Care Surgery or Orthopedic Trauma is preferred. We offer MGMA competitive salary, annual incentive bonuses, relocation, CME dollars, medical malpractice, robust retirement, and benefits package.
