Our Pediatric Gastroenterology practice is seeking a dedicated full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in supporting our well-established specialty practice.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Medical Assistant will engage in various tasks aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing urgent requests and reviewing medical records for special needs.
  • Assisting the clinical team under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, including preparing patients for examinations and collecting necessary information for documentation.
  • Conducting routine diagnostic tests, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, and coordinating patient scheduling for additional tests.
  • Providing patient education as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Triage incoming clinical inquiries, evaluating patient concerns, and responding according to established protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Following established protocols for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks.
  • Offering support to clinical services as required.
  • This position is based in our Office Clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy skills are preferred.
