- Escort patients to examination rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care and procedures, including vital sign collection and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Manage patient flow and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing referrals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in computer use and electronic health records.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, with frequent exposure to patients, families, and healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
