Workover Rig Crew Member Job Description

Brigade Energy Services is a leading Workover Rig company in the United States, seeking a skilled Workover Rig Crew Member to join our team in Hobbs, NM.

Job Summary

The Workover Rig Crew Member will work as part of a team to ensure all daily operational activities are performed in accordance with our policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our people and service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in rigging up and down, ensuring all equipment is properly secured and maintained.
  • Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down, including removing horse heads from pumping units.
  • Responsible for all work related to servicing the well, including rod basket and tubing board operations.
  • Operate tubing elevators for standing tubing in Derrick.
  • Support picking up or laying down tubing and manually moving tubing between rack and work floor.
  • Stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately, including all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries.
  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.
  • May be required to work floors or derricks on the rig as needed.
  • Perform PPE, fall protection, fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required.
  • Pull and lay down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and tailgate meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for keeping the work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order.
  • Assist in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Successfully perform elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation procedures.
  • Report all incidents as per company policies.
  • Drive crew truck as needed (driver's license and clean driving record required).
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in oilfield and/or Workover Rig operations.
  • Previous experience working in a team environment and ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Willingness to continuously increase knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime as required.
  • Ability to perform in outdoor working environments in extreme temperatures and conditions.
  • Must provide proof of right to work in the United States, have a clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
