Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at Mercy. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer speech-language pathology evaluations and develop treatment plans to address patients' physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
  • Implement treatment programs under the direction of a physician order and provide advisory services to other interdisciplinary team members to promote quality care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist licensure in applicable State of practice.
  • Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS certified.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in speech therapy.
  • Experience in caring for patients of all ages.
