The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical team and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, organized, adaptable, and possesses strong problem-solving skills. This role involves assisting both doctors and patients with various tasks related to patient care, management, and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Services: Prepare patients for examinations, assist the physician during procedures, document medical histories and vital signs, and communicate treatment plans to patients as necessary. Maintain cleanliness in waiting and examination rooms, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Supportive Procedures: Assist with medical procedures, including x-rays, application of casts and splints, and wound care management.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle phone calls, take messages, greet patients, prepare medical charts, manage patient check-ins and check-outs, schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and monitor inventory needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, including state certification based on examination.
- Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a medical assistant role.
- Attention to detail, excellent computer proficiency, and strong customer service skills are essential.
- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, self-motivation, and adherence to instructions, as evidenced by previous work experience and references.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is required.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage ranges from $18 to $25, commensurate with experience, in addition to benefits.
