Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other instruments.
- Prepare and analyze patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Record and report test results, including any abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a NAACLS-accredited program in medical laboratory technology or a related field.
- Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in the state of Florida.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
- Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory information systems.
- Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
