About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Cost Analyst to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As an Acquisition Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the Navy and Military by providing expert cost estimation and analysis services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial and cost models, including Program Office Estimates and Independent Government Cost Estimates.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis using scripting languages, including Python or R.
  • Analyze spend plans and budget inputs, develop program briefs and acquisition documentation, and perform what-if and economic analyses.
  • Participate in programmatic meetings and develop defensible estimates to support client decision-making.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with acquisition in cost estimating, supporting a program office, Program Executive Office, Service or Defense agencies, or a program that reports to a Service Acquisition Executive (SAE).
  • Experience with developing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel using complex logic-based formulas, including VLOOKUPs or HLOOKUPs.
  • Experience with applying statistical analysis to forecast future outcomes or informed decisions.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on a team in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with the Government, DoD, or Navy.
  • Experience with Crystal Ball, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, Python, or R.
  • Experience with operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, statistics, and calculus.
  • Cost Estimating Certification, such as DAWIA level II Practitioner, PCEA, CCEA, or SCEC.
  • PMP Certification.
