As a key member of the Houston Healthcare team, the Pharmacist (PT/PRN) will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and the ability to interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals
  • Interpreting physician prescriptions and medication orders
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supervising technicians on duty during shifts
  • Participating in Clinical and Quality Improvement programs

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor or Doctorate degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy
  • AHA BLS certification
  • AHA ACLS certification within 9 months of hire
