The Clinical Educator is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the education of facility staff, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the education requirements of staff.
- Ensure that reference material (i.e., PDRs, Federal and State Regulations, etc.) is maintained and up to date.
- Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing service department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.
- Assist in preparing written and/or oral reports of the nursing service programs and activities to submit to such committee(s).
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
- Long-term care experience is highly preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a current Florida license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience as a CE (Clinical Educator) is preferred.
- Must be able to move, lift, and position patients.
