Job Overview

Shift: Overnight. 10:00pm - 6:30am

Position Summary: Under the direct oversight of the Executive Housekeeper, this role is crucial in ensuring that the hotel's public areas and flooring are well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development and execution of a cleaning and maintenance strategy for all flooring surfaces within the hotel.
  2. Stay informed about the latest cleaning methods, products, and technologies to enhance the upkeep of public spaces.
  3. Collaborate with various hotel departments to foster a collective effort in maintaining cleanliness and freshness in public areas.
  4. Act as a representative of the hotel by warmly greeting guests and providing excellent customer service.
  5. Independently prepare the cleaning cart with necessary supplies for the shift.
  6. Perform tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floors using appropriate tools and equipment.
  7. Comply with safety regulations related to cleaning products and procedures.
  8. Monitor and report any maintenance needs regarding equipment, furniture, and building elements.
  9. Regularly empty trash bins in public areas, maintain cleanliness in lobby and banquet restrooms, and ensure public spaces are tidy.
  10. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Ability to maintain focus on cleaning tasks while managing interruptions.
  2. Capacity to comprehend instructions and learn new procedures and techniques.
  3. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
