We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team at Ascension St. Vincent's East - Trussville. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
