$18.00 per hour

The biweekly deduction from your paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 for Employee plus Children, $120.00 for Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 for Employee plus Family.


POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all communal spaces, which include but are not limited to the lobby, fitness center, spa, restrooms, staircases, hallways, vending areas, elevators, and service areas on guest floors, as well as back-of-house facilities like offices and storage areas.

Assist room attendants by preparing rooms, replenishing linen supplies, and gathering necessary items. Deliver and collect items as requested by guests, front desk staff, and housekeeping supervisors, as well as fulfill projects and requests from management.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver exceptional and friendly customer service.
  • Maintain positive interactions with guests at all times.
  • Oversee cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of designated work areas.
  • Clean assigned rooms or public spaces to the highest standards as required.
  • Report any damage or theft in rooms or public areas.
  • Complete maintenance work orders for guest rooms or public spaces.
  • Clean windows as necessary.
  • Sweep and mop floors as scheduled and needed.
  • Address accidental spills promptly by mopping or sweeping.
  • Load and unload supplies and equipment to restock guest room linen closets.
  • Keep floor closets clean and organized; remove trash, wipe down shelves, sweep floors, and arrange inventory appropriately.
  • Remove all dirty linen, glassware, and trash from room attendants' carts and transport to the correct area.
  • Ensure stairwells are clean and free from debris.
  • Maintain cleanliness of entryway mats and guest hallways.
  • Evaluate and recommend cleaning products and equipment; maintain sufficient inventory of housekeeping supplies.
  • Participate in training that supports the established cleanliness standards.
  • Adhere to all prescribed safety practices and methods.
  • Provide suggestions to supervisors regarding potential changes that could lead to cost savings for the organization.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Understanding of microbial growth prevention and intervention.
  • Awareness of infection control measures.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturer's Safety Decals on cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Knowledge of potential adverse reactions when mixing cleaning chemicals.
  • Awareness of safety rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of evaluation methods for cleaning products and equipment.
  • General understanding of housekeeping operations.

SUPERVISION:
  • This position operates under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Work assignments are based on objectives, priorities, occupancy levels, and deadlines.
  • Tasks are handled independently following established policies.
  • Supervisors provide guidance on project objectives and priorities and are available for consultation on complex issues.
  • Daily assignments are planned and executed independently, applying prescribed methods to resolve problems.
  • Completed work is reviewed to ensure compliance with objectives and instructions, with corrections made as necessary.

GUIDELINES:
  • Established cleanliness standards set by the Housekeeping Manager, hospitality guidelines, and company operating procedures are followed.
  • Guidelines include verbal instructions, regulations, and previous project files.
  • Adaptations are made to address problems and unusual situations while prioritizing the interests of the organization.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The role is performed in a hotel and casino setting within a climate-controlled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This position requires significant physical activity, including climbing, lifting, bending, and reaching. The majority of physical exertion will involve stocking closets and assisting room attendants in preparing guest rooms, which includes making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms. Lifting items weighing up to 70 lbs may be required.
