Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Unit Assembler to join our team at Altec Industries. As a Unit Assembler, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and installing vehicle components to required specifications for Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Unit, and Finish departments.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install vehicle components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematics and work orders to understand customer requirements.
  • Test installed components to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Use basic hand tools and specialty equipment to perform tasks.
  • Learn and operate all equipment within the work area.
  • Perform rework as required and support APS initiatives.
  • Move to other work areas to support production needs and cross-train.
  • Effectively assist and train new and current associates.
  • Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.
  • Adhere to Altec's attendance policy.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
  • Basic computer usage knowledge required.
  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.
