We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Assist with routine and repetitive patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse.
- Perform specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focused activities.
- Ensure patient belongings are returned to the patient at time of discharge.
- Clean, procure, and return equipment and supplies as needed.
- Run errands for the unit as required.
- Replenish patient room with water, linen, and towels as necessary.
- Perform unit-specific patient care tasks in accordance with the skills checklist and document on the flowsheet.
- Assist with ordering and maintenance of stock items according to established inventory.
- Keep unit supplies organized and orderly.
- Communicate effectively with team members during and between shifts.
- Respond to phone calls and patient call lights.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique patient needs.
- Patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
