Technical Visionary

Technical Leadership Role:

Lifelancer is seeking an experienced Director of R&D to provide technical vision and leadership to our software development team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and executing on both technical and functional product roadmaps. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile software development engineering practices, including Test-Driven Development, evolutionary design, shared code ownership, and continuous integration.

Key responsibilities include managing expectations, setting realistic goals, and achieving them. Effective communication with stakeholders across the company to allocate engineering resources appropriately across various projects is essential. Additionally, you will evaluate the potential and practicality of new products, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $144,000.00 - $216,000.00 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k) participation (with company match), 10 days of vacation, sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays per year.
