Family Medicine Physician Lead

As a seasoned Family Medicine Physician Lead, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to residents and patients in various settings. This full-time role involves supervising a team of non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members, while also handling administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver complex and geriatric care to patients across assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, working collaboratively with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership teams, patients, and families, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with up to 15 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, providing guidance and support to enhance their clinical roles.
- Audit medical orders and documentation for each provider, adhering to state and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Potentially assume medical directorships for skilled and/or senior living facilities.
- Identify growth opportunities with skilled facilities and other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participate in company-wide call processes to ensure timely responses to acute changes in condition, preventing avoidable hospital transfers.
Education and Qualifications
- Hold a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Possess two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare, with clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
Certifications and Licenses
- Be board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics, with qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Hold an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of employment.
