Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Leader

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive operational excellence at our Livermore, CA facility.
This role reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for optimizing processes, implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and ensuring world-class manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers to support production, process improvements, and new product introduction (NPI).
- Develop and implement engineering best practices, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive Lean Six Sigma and 5S efforts throughout the facility to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
- Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes for repeatability and scalability.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to improve throughput and reduce manual labor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and 5S implementation.
- Experience in defense, space, or medical manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CAD, ERP/MRP systems, and manufacturing process automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of successful project management.
