MRI Technologist

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract position in Wexford, PA. The successful candidate will perform various MRI procedures, prepare exam rooms, and ensure the quality of images.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures to diagnose and evaluate medical conditions.
• Prepare MRI exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical history as necessary for exams.
• Review patient history and determine appropriate MRI protocols.
• Explain examination methods, position patients, and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
• Ensure the quality of MRI images and coordinate the preparation of images/exams for physician review.
• Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
• Monitor MRI equipment performance, report issues, and perform necessary maintenance.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting.
• Valid Pennsylvania state license in MRI Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Ability to work flexible and variable shifts.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
• Excellent technical skills in operating MRI equipment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and professionalism.
• Ability to travel to and from the workplace.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
