Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at the Oshkosh Defense Spartanburg Assembly facility. As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance checks and repairs on our production equipment. You will also support production lines, maintain the facility, and assist maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance checks and repairs on production equipment
  • Support production lines and maintain the facility
  • Assist maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and repairs
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues
Requirements
  • Ability to become forklift certified
  • At least six months of applicable position experience
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Fundamental computer, math, and reading skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes
  • Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly
  • Ability to communicate with leadership and fellow team members in both written and verbal forms at a level above standard
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing
