Pharmacist Intern Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Pharmacy Intern to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain valuable experience in the field of pharmacy.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the support of drug distribution systems, including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations.
  • Participate in performance improvement and data collection activities.
  • Responsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixtures using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stocking.
  • Participate in providing pharmaceutical care for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Other responsibilities include inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department.
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment as a Pharmacy Student.
  • Current State Board of Pharmacy Certificate of Pharmacy Intern.
