Great Expectations Day Care and Learning Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our young students.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement educational programs that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lesson Planning: Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and parent-teacher conferences to ensure a collaborative approach to child development.
- Center Policies and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and clean classroom environment that promotes a sense of community and respect among students and staff.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Interpersonal Skills: High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) to foster a team environment.
- Child Development Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Certifications and Clearances: Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
- Physical Demands: Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, lift up to 40 pounds, talk to and hear voices at many levels, and maintain visual contact with children. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.
- Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively manage classroom activities and communicate with parents and staff.
- Certifications: Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
