Job Summary:
The Stocker/Polisher is a vital member of the Gibsons Restaurant Group team, responsible for maintaining the appearance of the dining room by polishing silverware and stocking glassware, utensils, and other supplies. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock the dining room and expo line with china, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and linen, ensuring adequate supplies are available during service.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including walls and shelves, to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Polish all glasses and silverware to the highest standard, ensuring they are ready for use in the dining room.
- Ensure working areas are clean and organized throughout the shift, adhering to company standards.
- Stock shelves, racks, tables, and service stations with new or transferred supplies, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Perform opening and closing side work as required, following company procedures and equipment standards.
- Fold napkins and prepare extra place settings as needed.
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times, reflecting the values of the Gibsons Restaurant Group.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and no prior experience is required. You must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow instructions and procedures. Additionally, you should be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
