Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day farming operations on our nearly 2400 organic acres in Ely, Nevada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing crop rotations, including alfalfa, hemp, and trite.

This is a leadership position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as expertise in labor management, equipment maintenance, and soil testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage permanent and temporary staff to ensure efficient execution of farm operations
  • Develop and implement effective field preparation, planting, and harvest plans
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using AgWorld or similar software
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in agricultural operations, with a focus on organic farming
  • Strong knowledge of plant cycles, field preparation, and pivot equipment operation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and train staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Teams
