Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate I is accountable for the physical and systematic processes involved in receiving, picking, and quality checking to ensure all items, accessories, and equipment align with orders. This role necessitates heavy lifting, including repetitive tasks of up to 75 lbs, and the ability to remain standing for extended periods. Responsibilities include processing shipments through FedEx Ship Manager and/or UPS Worldship software, managing transfers, assisting with returns, conducting physical inventories, and supporting daily cycle counts. Maintaining the overall organization, cleanliness, and security of the Distribution Center while adhering to safety protocols is essential. Additional duties may include sorting and properly disposing of packaging materials for recycling. Overtime may be required to accommodate month-end and quarter-end sales activities.



Your Contributions

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving stock: Unloading trucks, inspecting for damages, verifying items and codes, and confirming quantities against packing slips, followed by system entry using handheld scanners and creating barcode labels for third-party items.
  • Releasing orders for assigned organizations on a scheduled basis, collaborating with Operations Management.
  • Pulling items for unpacking based on released orders, processing them via handheld scanners, and verifying serialized items and accessory quantities for pre-installation.
  • Operating UPS Worldship: Scanning labels, verifying order details, checking for special shipping instructions, and ensuring cost-effectiveness of shipping methods.
  • Managing transfers: Moving stock between different warehouse statuses or locations.
  • Assisting with returns: Checking return orders and executing related functions as needed.
  • Conducting inventories: Counting and recording quantities on hand, identifying discrepancies, and correcting stock locations.
  • Processing RMAs daily and coordinating necessary modifications to orders.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse: Keeping work areas tidy, managing waste, and ensuring safety throughout the day.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, with less than one year of related experience preferred.
  • Experience in a Distribution Center is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is a plus.
  • The ability to learn new computer skills and work overtime as required.
  • Capability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and operate a forklift.
  • Dependability and a quick learning ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
