Radiologic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northwell Health.
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will perform various imaging procedures, including CT scans, to assist physicians in diagnosing patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and positioning them on the examination table.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as CT scanners, to administer procedures and obtain images.
- Calculate and enter the number of scans required for each procedure.
- Monitor patient conditions during examinations and recognize any abnormal changes.
- Acknowledge and review images in the computer system.
- Ensure accuracy of all patient data and process imaging as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and accessories.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification.
- Prior radiology technology experience is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

The estimated salary range for this position is $40.18-$49.36 per hour, depending on experience.
