We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Processor to join our team at Service Insurance Companies. As a Claims Processor, you will play a critical role in supporting our claims team by providing administrative support and ensuring the efficient processing of claims.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, identify, sort, and distribute mail, faxes, and official State forms and letters in compliance with state regulations and company deadlines.
- Assist in the processing of workers compensation claims and maintain accurate claim files.
- Handle certified and overnight mail, enter new claims into the system, and operate office equipment.
- Answer and direct incoming calls with a professional demeanor and maintain filing and records retention.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, printing, and mailing checks for indemnity and medical claims.
- Collaborate with adjusters and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of claim systems and digital processes.
- Office and/or administrative experience required.
- Basic knowledge of office procedures and working knowledge of MSWord and Excel.
- Ability to work with speed and accuracy, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively with all types of people.
- Good math and typing skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
