Advanced Primary Care Clinician

Job Summary:
As a skilled Advanced Primary Care Clinician at Brown University Health, you will provide high-quality patient care by performing courteous, efficient, and accurate service. You will assist with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, while mentoring clinical personnel and serving as a liaison with patients, staff, providers, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults.
- Educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
- Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients regardless of age.
- Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate actively in the development and review of office policies and procedures.
- Promote a safety-conscious work environment.
Requirements:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
- Graduation with a master's degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current licensure as an ARNP in the State of Rhode Island.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Work Environment:
- Healthcare environment, such as an acute care hospital, physician's office, or ancillary healthcare enterprise.
- Minimized hazards through adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
