Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Pre Admissions will be responsible for assessing patients to ensure they are fit for surgery. This will involve ensuring patients are fully informed of their planned treatment, including post-operative care and instructions. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients to ensure they are fit for surgery
- Ensure patients are fully informed of their planned treatment
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide education
Requirements:
- Valid Utah state nursing license or compact state license
- Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
