Position Overview:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in patient care within the progressive care unit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, medication protocols, and diagnostic results upon their entry into the unit.

2. Monitor essential vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.

3. Analyze data from advanced medical devices to inform patient care decisions.

4. Administer prescribed medications and adjust dosages as necessary based on clinical evaluations.

5. Perform comprehensive evaluations of patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.

6. Communicate any changes in patient status to the healthcare team and adhere to treatment protocols.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charts and medical documentation.

8. Supervise nursing assistants and support personnel within the unit.

9. Provide clear explanations of treatments and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries they may have.

Qualifications:

Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN)

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting

Requirements:
Completion of COVID-19 vaccination

Licenses/Certifications:
Current BLS, ACLS certifications, and an active RN license.

Certifications: Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
