High-Tech Appliance Service Specialist

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled High-Tech Appliance Service Specialist to join our team at OtterBase. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing top-notch repair and maintenance services for a wide range of appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer homes to perform maintenance and repair equipment using company vehicles
- Utilize proper safety equipment, vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by the company to ensure safe and efficient service delivery
- Conduct technical diagnosis and perform specialized repairs on various electronics and home appliances
- Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the issue, document findings, make decisions to repair the product and/or replace parts, and process paperwork with accuracy
- Pre-screen next day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose problems prior to arriving at customer's home
- Meet or exceed company metrics and performance standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a technician role, preferably with major appliance manufacturers
- Experience repairing refrigeration/sealed systems, ovens, dishwashers, washer and dryers, and AC units
- Ability to properly trouble-shoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues
- Proficiency with power and hand tools, as well as diagnostic test equipment
- Computer and/or tablet skills for data entry and documentation
- Valid Driver's license in good standing (no DUIs within the last 7 years) and willingness to obtain EPA Certification
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
