Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic individual to provide hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living, including communication, social, recreational, and leisure activities, self-care, household management, travel, work-related opportunities, and money management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of service, ensuring that each person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; one year of relevant experience and an equivalent amount of education preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
- Reliable means of transportation and a valid NYS driver's license (if required).

- Competitive salary range: $17.25 - $18.37 per hour (substitute/substitute rate: $16.25 per hour).
