Automotive Refinish Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Refinish Specialist to join our team at Starcraft. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in auto painting and refinishing.

• Prepare and apply paint to repaired vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish.
• Apply refinish coatings using approved equipment and follow recommended pressure settings.
• Inspect panels for proper body repair and notify the Production Manager of any imperfections before applying refinish coatings.
• Sand, mask, mix colors, and tint as needed to achieve the desired finish.
• Operate spray booths and ensure all equipment is clean and well-maintained.
• Assure all refinish products meet color match and finish texture expectations.
• Mix only the amount of refinish products required to cover the repair/refinish area and minimize waste.
• Ensure paint areas and mix rooms are clean, and all refinish products are stored properly.
• Clean and maintain all paint formulation and spray application equipment.
• Update paint supplier color, technical data, and software materials.
• Print VOCs monthly and submit to the Office Manager.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures.

• Intermediate level experience in auto painting and refinishing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
