Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hard Rock International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our public and team member areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for their gaming entertainment needs. Build and retain guest relationships, and mentor team members to provide exceptional service.
  • Janitorial Duties: Collect and remove trash, clean carpeted areas, remove gum and carpet spots, vacuum upholstered furnishings and fabric, reposition furniture and equipment after cleaning.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop hard surface floors, clean and dust all surfaces, including walls, doors, hardware, games, furnishings, door glass, and display cases.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Stock, clean, and sanitize restroom fixtures and surfaces.
  • Teamwork: Work cooperatively with supervisors and all other team members to achieve departmental goals and standards.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Observe and report needed maintenance to buildings, fixtures, and equipment, and report any loss, damage, or breakage of property or safety threats.
  • Emergency Response: Assist in emergency clean-ups and provide coverage for absences.
  • Communication: Attend and participate in meetings, and perform work regularly and predictably.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Two months of on-the-job training or related janitorial experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
  • Background Check and Drug Screening: Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Age and Availability: Must be at least 21 years of age and able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Basic Tools and Equipment: Knowledge of basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
  • Guest Service and Communication: Excellent guest service skills and communication skills.
  • Janitorial Duties: Knowledge of janitorial duties and procedures.
