Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administer medications, conduct bloodwork, and perform IV procedures with precision.
2. Supervise the administration of medications and provide education to individuals regarding their treatments.
3. Oversee non-licensed personnel in monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse.
4. Ensure proper administration of treatment orders for various medical procedures.
5. Compile and present progress reports on resident health statuses.
6. Assist medical professionals during examinations and sick calls as required.
7. Provide emergency nursing care and assess injuries effectively.
8. Uphold residents' rights and advocate for their needs while adhering to hospital policies.
9. Transcribe and execute physician orders, participating in the development of individualized treatment plans.
10. Manage the admission and transfer processes for residents, ensuring accurate documentation.
11. Conduct nursing procedures as necessary and participate in infection control programs.
12. Collaborate with the treatment team to evaluate residents and develop discharge plans.
13. Serve as a mentor and resource for training staff members.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess the physical agility to navigate stairwells, assist in emergency evacuations, and perform repetitive movements. The role requires normal vision and hearing, with the ability to work with cleaning chemicals. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 20 pounds and maintaining alertness during extended shifts.

Qualifications:

Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with state regulations is required, along with two years of professional nursing experience, including one year in a specialized field. A bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field may substitute for one year of experience, while a master's degree can substitute for two years.
