We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Coordinator in our Intermediate Care unit at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week, working 7am - 7pm. As a Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring a smooth operation of the unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Manage patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and education of nursing staff
Requirements:
  • 18 months of nursing experience, with previous Charge Nurse experience strongly preferred
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • RN-Bachelor's Degree, with RN-Master's Degree preferred
