Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Software Developer to become a vital part of our team. In this position, you will be tasked with overseeing the compute stack, managing CPU functions for environmental control, and handling essential system components for a cutting-edge electro-optical sensor system. We are looking for an individual with a robust hands-on approach and extensive knowledge in embedded systems and software engineering.
Key Duties
- Design and sustain software for managing CPU functions related to environmental control systems.
- Integrate and supervise weather sensor data and enclosure commands.
- Guarantee precise GPS referencing and integration with system components.
- Administer communications protocols to ensure dependable data transmission.
- Oversee memory management and enhance system performance.
- Establish and maintain IP connectivity for remote monitoring and control.
- Monitor system health and implement diagnostic tools for reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new features and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software integration challenges.
- Stay informed on industry trends in embedded systems and environmental control technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in embedded systems.
- Proficient in C/C++, Python, or comparable programming languages.
- Experience with CPU and microcontroller programming.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and environmental sensors.
- Experience in memory management and optimization.
- Ability to develop system health monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical skills and team collaboration capabilities.
- Security Clearance at Secret level, with the potential to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with real-time operating systems and cybersecurity for embedded systems.
Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000 - $142,000
