About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in our James Island ER. As a CNC, you will be responsible for coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift, collaborating with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of South Carolina.
