Position Overview:
The Cardiac Care Nurse is accountable for the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

As a vital component of the healthcare team, this role involves coordinating patient care and engaging in extensive communication and collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals, patients, and their families or significant others.

Upholds and exemplifies high standards of professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to inform the development, execution, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
  • Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and treatment protocols.
  • Effectively navigate and manage rapidly evolving clinical situations.
  • Engage in clinical decision-making processes.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, specific care requirements, wellness, and safety considerations.
  • Delegate and oversee care provided by other nursing staff and healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to standard precautions and principles of patient safety in all practices.
  • Participate in the orientation, education, and professional development of the healthcare team.
  • Identify and engage in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain competencies at both professional and departmental levels.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
A valid New Jersey RN License is required. Licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the regulations set forth by the State of New Jersey licensing board. Demonstrates a solid understanding of nursing skills, hospital protocols, procedures, and standards. Continuously enhances skills and remains informed about current nursing practices through ongoing education and professional literature. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate the efforts of a multidisciplinary care team.
