About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at FullShift Staffing, LLC. As a member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in addressing patient needs and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
  • Record treatments given and progress notes in medical records
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized treatment area
  • Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences
  • Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
  • Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
  • Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures
  • Instruct patient families or nursing staff in maintenance programs
Requirements
  • Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Superior writing skills for documentation of care provided
  • Knowledge and understanding of therapy practice
  • High degree of credibility and integrity
  • Team cohesion and a positive attitude
  • Understanding of the unpredictable nature and needs of the therapy function in a busy rehab department
