Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team at Inspira Health Network. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and monitor individuals at entrance points to our facilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and security of our community
  • Respond to and resolve incidents in a professional and effective manner
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure a safe and secure environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Minimum of two years of armed law enforcement experience or four years of active military service
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to pass a firearms marksmanship qualification course and maintain a Level Three Retention Holster for their approved handgun
  • Valid State of New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun and Armed SORA license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Security Officer Certification (IAHSS) within one year of hire
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 100 days of hire
  • De-escalation and common language training within 100 days of hire
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull objects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress and pressure
