Job Summary:
TLC Nursing is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse specializing in Oncology for an exciting travel nursing opportunity. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver proficient nursing care to patients, adhering to the standards of practice.
2. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient conditions and family dynamics.
3. Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing supervisors regarding patient needs and changes.
4. Implement preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions as required.
5. Educate patients and families on safety measures, medication management, and rehabilitation procedures.
6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
7. Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuing education.
8. Document nursing care accurately and submit reports in a timely manner.
9. Collaborate with facility administration and staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
2. Valid nursing license in accordance with state regulations.
3. Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment.
4. Current CPR certification.
5. Strong observational skills and effective communication abilities.
6. Good physical and mental health status.
7. Completion of agency employment processes and orientation.
Performance Expectations:
1. Demonstrate nursing care proficiency within the scope of practice.
2. Develop and implement realistic care plans.
3. Continuously assess and respond to changes in patient conditions.
4. Exhibit strong documentation skills in line with agency policies.
