Job Summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a skilled Lumber Yard Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and support in our lumber yard. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and loading materials, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Meet and greet customers, provide exceptional service, and assist with the selection and loading of materials.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts, maintain inventory levels, and ensure accurate shipping and receiving.
  • Store Operations: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized yard, follow policies and procedures, and properly use and maintain equipment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Familiarity with building materials is helpful
  • Ability to participate effectively as a team member
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
