About the Role

The Correctional Deputy I is an entry-level position that plays a critical role in maintaining public safety and upholding the law. As a member of our corrections team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of our county jail facilities.

You will work closely with other law enforcement professionals to achieve this goal, including court security personnel. Your duties may include:

  • Assisting with inmate grievances and supervising inmates in the county jail
  • Processing inmate admissions, conducting strip searches, and searching cells to prevent disturbances and escapes

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also be required to patrol court facilities, investigate disturbances, and take appropriate action to maintain security.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also be physically fit and able to pass a background check.

We offer a competitive salary of $25.00 per hour (BCO certified) or $24.00 per hour (uncertified). This includes excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
