In the role of Lead Operations Strategist, your primary focus will be on cultivating a workplace culture that promotes high employee morale while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop work schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to staff members.
- Mentor, guide, and motivate employees; enhance their potential and uphold high standards.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with onsite clients and other essential partners.
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment through training and regular safety assessments.
- Assist in evaluating employee performance, offering both written and verbal feedback.
- Implement and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications for Success at GXO:
To be considered, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with computerized scanning equipment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may involve weekends.
It would be advantageous if you also possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.
- 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-certified environment.
- Background in Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to follow, promote, and implement safety initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift objects of varying shapes, sizes, and weights.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Reach (including overhead), bend, stoop, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
- Handle or operate tools or equipment.
- Tolerate varying warehouse temperatures.
