Interventional Radiographer

Lakeland Regional Health-Florida is a leading medical center seeking a skilled Interventional Radiographer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

The Interventional Radiographer will work under the supervision of licensed independent practitioners to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes determining radiographic technique exposure factors, effectively panning the table during exposures, and assisting with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as prescribed or directed by licensed independent practitioners
• Determine radiographic technique exposure factors and effectively pan the table during exposures
• Assist licensed independent practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
• Maintain intra-arterial access as prescribed
• Participate in physiologic monitoring of patients
• Perform manual and mechanical hemostasis, including the use of vascular closure devices
• Place, maintain, and remove peripherally inserted central catheters
• Assist licensed independent practitioners in selecting appropriate catheters, wires, equipment, and other devices necessary for the procedure
• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including contrast injectors, ultrasound systems, and lasers
• Report any malfunctions promptly to ensure timely repairs
• Participate in radiation protection, patient and personnel safety, risk management, and quality management activities

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
• Current General Radiographer license from the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (R) and Vascular Interventional (VI) within 36 months of hire date
• BLS for Healthcare providers that is AHA approved and ACLS within 12 months of hire date
• 12 months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist

• 24 months of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional (VI)
