Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily production schedules to meet business objectives and shipping requirements.
- Coordinate activities of production employees and supervisors to achieve specific production, quality, safety, and sanitation goals.
- Manage production resources to ensure high-quality products are produced at the lowest possible cost, while conforming to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Direct setup and adjustment of production lines and machines, and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, and worker performance.
- Enforce safety regulations and sanitation standards, and work closely with the laboratory to address quality concerns.
- Communicate with maintenance to address equipment issues and concerns.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, and/or five years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, and write reports, and speak effectively before groups of employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
- Valid California Driver's license with a clean DMV record.
