We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
- Select and adjust anatomic and technical parameters to optimize image quality.
- Administer contrast media and medications as needed, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures, reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- Registered in Radiology (ARRT-R) or equivalent certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, and use of vision and depth perception. The ability to lift and move patients, as well as push and pull equipment, is also necessary. A safe and alert working environment is essential.
