Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program, including scheduling and performing maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions to building services.
  • Maintain good facility relations through prompt and courteous response to facility requests, adhering to JLL guidelines.
  • Assist the building engineering team in protecting and improving the value of client assets, ensuring building engineering systems function as intended.
  • Perform building and utility plant maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, millwright, and machinist functions.
  • Monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors and junior staff.
  • Work closely with contractors, providing access to restricted areas as assigned by the Assistant Chief Engineer or supervisor.
  • Ensure work performed in facility space is accomplished with minimal disruption and adequate clean-up.
  • Review monthly facility service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
  • Comply with all written JLL and regional company policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Trade School/Vocational Schooling completed preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in building engineering, with a strong background in technical aspects of machinery, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair, and maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Proficient in using computers and software programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Ability to visually inspect machinery and buildings.
  • Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 60 lbs repeatedly.
  • Able to work on roofs of buildings, safely performing overhead work while standing on a ladder.
  • Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.
  • Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate a motor vehicle.
Estimated Total Compensation Range

$67,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
