Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Winland Foods, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and supervision for all planned maintenance activities, as well as direct supervision of all parts room activities and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, estimate, and supervise outside contractor services
  • Process, approve, and prioritize work orders
  • Examine and determine the best approach for work completion, including obtaining necessary schematics
  • Provide technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews
  • Support and execute plant-specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals
  • Assure maintenance repair schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards
  • Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance systems and calibration programs
  • Supervise outside contractor services used to repair or maintain plant equipment
  • Record projects and work orders for easy retrieval
  • Manage the parts room to ensure the correct parts are available to the maintenance team
  • Manage the maintenance requisition program, including quotes, purchase order requests, and progress tracking
  • Liaise between production engineering and maintenance teams and maintain records for analysis
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent
  • Three plus years of related experience
  • SAP systems experience preferred
  • Ability to build positive, strong business relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong computer skills, including inventory management and JDE/SAP
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes standing, climbing, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping. The ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time is also required. Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently is necessary.

Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to wear all required personal protection equipment associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and following all safety policies and procedures, including lock out/tag out and safe lifting techniques, is also required.
